Frederick Waters (1808-1903)

Frederick Waters was born 1808in Rye and died 1903 of unspecified causes.
Originally from Rye, and following in his father's foot steps as a gun-maker with premises at the junction of Castle Street and Caroline Place. Waters was resident at No 2 Prior's Cottages. Upon the death of his wife's father (Old Joe Prior) in 1854, Frederick acquired the other two cottages, and constructed his residence Denmark House (Denmark Place) in the long sea-facing front gardens of numbers 2 and 3, and Denmark Villa in the front garden of number 1[1].
