From Historical Hastings
Opened by Henry Edlin on the 15th of December 1830, this hotel occupied numbers 21 and 21½ Marina. The opening night was celebrated by a grand meal, followed the next day by a fox hunt for the amusement of his guests[1]. Edlin later ran the nearby Royal Victoria Hotel in 1834 and the Tivoli Tavern around 1838 before leaving to Brighton in 1839[2][3]
