Bailey Bridge

In July 1968, to assist with the construction of a deep sea outfall, a Bailey Bridge was placed upon Bexhill Road. Another bridge was reportedly placed in 1983. The design of the bridge originated in WW2 when the allied troops needed a system of bridging rivers that could be erected quickly and easily.
