Adelaide Lodge of Oddfellows
From Historical Hastings
The Adelaide Lodge of Oddfellows was a philanthropic society which met at the Warrior's Gate Inn. T. B. Brett was the secretary of this branch of the society in 1848 , and the president Mr. Peter Pagden (of the White Rock Brewery), the Lodge being founded in 1839[1]
In 1928, irregularities were discovered in the accounts of the society.
