Sidney Wildish established a butchers chain in 1880 at 50 London Road, expanding into the following premises by the publication of the 1923 Kelly's guide:
3 Queen's Road
63 Mount Road
10 and 11 Alpine Road (formerly the site of Charles Crouch Butchers)
6 George Street and Ivy House and Great Ridge Farms
