Born in Northiam, Philadelphia Chester of Holy Trinity, aged 31 she was hired as a housekeeper by Mr Crisford of Ore for six months.
On Lady Day 1825 she was hired by her brother-in-law Charles Valentine Levett of St Mary-in-the-Castle Hastings, and two weeks after Lady Day 1826 she was hired by Mr Hughes of Westfield for seven months she then rented a shop in St Mary-in-the-Castle from William Diplock at 10s 6d per week for 10 weeks. Following this, she was hired by Richard Jarman of Ewhurst for eight months.
At some point after this, she fell pregnant with an illegitimate child.
