Old Town Carnival

The Old Town carnival started in 1969 after the main town's carnival procession stopped taking in the Old Town. Since then, the carnival has continued to the present day, unlike the Hastings Carnival. The parade is the culmination of a week's activities centred in the Old Town with various events such as a concert on the beach, tug of war, pram races.
