Constantine Jennings

Formerly from Norwich, Mr. Jennings opened the Memorial Photographic Studio, 51 Robertson Street in July of 1881. Whilst in Norwich, he photographed a large number of the nobility. The new studios on the top floor of the building, with a glass roof offered good lighting and, as one of his services, he advertised "Instantaneous Portraits of Babies and Children"[1]. Jennings reportedly also spent a considerable time working as a photographer in Paris[2].

He lived for a few years at 8 Cambridge Gardens[3], moving to 150 Mount Pleasant Road by 1885[4], owning both properties and thus being entered upon the electoral registers of the time. By the end of 1886, Constantine would appear to have moved out of the borough, opening a new studio in Tunbridge Wells[5], George Bradshaw buying the photographic studio from him in that year.
