Charles Deudney was the owner of Gensing Farm, having been born there in 1760. His father, Thomas[1] was a tenant and representative of the Eversfield Estate - this passing from Thomas to Charles, managing a farm in the area of over 1,000 acres in addition to holding not insubstantial land himself[2].
Interestingly in Charles' will he explicitly stated that his son-in-law, Edward Wenham (Sarah's husband[1]) was not indebted to him and that he had given no securities to Edward. His estate was largely divided among his children[3].
