Cavendish Place School
From Historical Hastings
The Cavendish Place infant's school was founded in 1829 with accommodation for 152 children[1]. The school operated for 125 years, closing in 1954 when falling attendances caused, in part, by the Slum Clearances which had started in the 1930s, then continued after a pause for WW2.
