Bookman's Halt

From Historical Hastings

Located at 127 Bohemia Road, this second-hand bookshop opened in 1961, following a stint as a furniture shop by the same proprietor; Mr. J. Simmonds. In 1965, a retired civil servant Mr. F. Moore took over the running of the shop until 1978 when Michael Bloxham took the helm. A short two years later, Clive Linklater became the new proprietor in 1980. His ownership of the business lasted over thirty years[1], the shop finally closing in 2016 and subsequently converted to residential accommodation[2]
