Richard Stace (1837-1924)

Richard Stace was born in Ore around 1837. He married Emily Hunter in 1865 and had one child with her, Mary Stace (1866-1898). Following Emily's death in 1888, he remarried eight years later to Lillie Wilkins. He is recorded as living at 22 East Ascent in 1891[1], by 1901, Richard was living at 44 Marina[2], the address then changed to 43 Marina[3] by the time of the 1911 Census. Richard Stace would appear to have accumulated a fairly large property portfolio in and around Hastings. Following his death, his executors put the following properties up for auction[4];
