Toronto Terrace

From Historical Hastings

A terrace of ten houses described in a 1902 directory[1] as being in the Red Lake area (which in turn is described as being between Middle Road and Old London Road), the terrace not appearing by name in a later 1923 directory[2]. Examination of mapping[3] shows the only terrace matching the description is at the end of an un-made cul-de-sac branching off from today's Rye Road, the houses still existing to this day as 55 to 64 Rye Road. The terrace changed name to Seaview Terrace in the early 1900s[4].
