Saunder's School

From Historical Hastings

One of the fore-runners to Hastings Grammar School, the school was founded in 1708 utilising funds realised from the bequest made by Saunders. The school was subject to funding difficulties during the early 1800s as a result of an investigation in the Chancery Court into the management of the estates providing for both this school and that of Parker.
