Railway Workers Social Club

The British Rail Staff Association Club which was constructed in 1953[1] just above Warrior Square Railway Station in St Johns Road rapidly became a favourite venue for local Jazz and Skiffle music fans during the 1950s and 1960s. The building was demolished around 2001, soon after the St John's Road Garden Center above it was converted to a playground.
