Situated at 102 London Road, the first mention in the press of this property is a for sale advertisement in 1891 when the building was described as a leasehold property comprised of

Dining, drawing, and morning-rooms, four bedrooms, bathroom, lavatory, and domestic offices. There is an ornamental garden in front and rear, also conservatory. Let on a yearly tenancy to Mrs. G. B. Ball, at £70 a year.

The property with its contents came up for auction in 1910 when the tenant, Mrs Ball who was the widow of Charles Julius Ball, passed away.[1]. The house was converted into four flats - one on each floor - at some time prior to 1995, when a certificate of lawfulness was applied for[2].
