Hastings & St. Leonards College

Was a 'Young Ladies College' at 6 Cumberland Gardens[1] originally, opening at some point in the late 1800s, taking in younger boys by 1942. A Miss Bishop was known to be principle during 1894.[2]
After a brief closure in 1951, it reopened in 1952 having been renamed Pitmans College[3]; this incarnation being under the tutelage of Mr. C. P. F. Alderson providing both Grammar School and Commercial and Secretarial courses[4], then Continental College, eventually being demolished in the early 1970s to build Lazonby Court
