Constructed on Tackleway prior to 1846, being listed in a will of that year[1] and originally two cottages, this ​building​ was used for a period in the late 19th Century and mid 20th Century as a School, the Hastings and St. Leonards Girls Training Home. Following closure of the school, the ​building​ was put up at auction in 1947, being described as having 3 reception rooms, 11 bedrooms, bathroom and laundry with a small garden[2]. The property was then converted into a private home, becoming the family residence of Christopher Hugh Driver[3]Grade II Listed (Historic England listing 1043396)
