In 1891, the occupier was reportedly a French professor who gave lessons in that language at the address[1].
Record exists of this property and its neighbouring buildings at numbers 15, 17, 18, 21 and 22 being put up for sale in 1901[2].
The building was at some point subsequently converted into two flats.
