Arcade Fisheries
From Historical Hastings
Opened during 1937 in Queens Arcade. Taking on George Saxby in 1953, George later became the proprietor of the business in 1985; the business being run by his family until its eventual closure in 2022. The reason for the closure was that Paul Saxby (George's son) felt it was time to move on from the arcade - a number of other shops in the arcade closing during 2021 and 2022 - and continue the business from a market stall every Thursday[1].
