This field located near to Drapers Mill, formally known as "Mr. Draper's Field" around 1880, was used by the Silverhill Cricket Club, becoming used for football during the 1900s. A number of fetes and other events are reported in the press around the late 19th century. Other reports in the press of games played here call the field either 'Drapers' or 'Silverhill'. Also known as 'Padghams Field'[1]
