Usage

Used as a quick way of typing [[Wikipedia:<article name>|]]. This also displays a small globe indicating an external link to Wikipedia. This no longer checks for existence of articles on Wikipedia first due to slow performance.

...produces: Bugs Bunny

Options

There are always options.

{{wp|Bugs Bunny|Bugs}} 

...displays the "short name" instead, producing: Bugs

Caution

This uses an ifexist call and therefore may affect performance and display on a page that has too many parser functions.
