Template documentationPurpose: Creates an Ahnentafel numbered list of ancestors by generation. Up to 8 generations may be output. Images and short biographical details (birth and death time and locations) are output if available.
Parameter:
- parameter 1: number of generations to output, counting the subject. So limit = 2 would output the subject and the generation of the parents only. Default=6. If the parameter is omitted, 6 generations will be output including the subject's.
- no_intro: if any value, tabs and introductory text is not displayed, explaining what an ahnentafel is.
Speed note: Page display will be slow if large numbers of ancestors are having their pictures and biographies displayed. Page display will be faster by reducing the number of generations or by using {{Showfacts ahnentafel}} which omits the time consuming lookup of pictures and bios.
