This should never be used, but when someone provides the magic word "padleft" with a piped parameter, it will prevent breakage. Parameter 1 will be used as the : parameter, while other parameters will be ignored. Therefore, the magic word has more flexibility than this template.
Tracking category[edit]
This template places pages in Category:Pages which use a template in place of a magic word (2).
