South Saxon Hotel

From Historical Hastings
(Redirected from Saxon Hotel)

This was one of the first buildings in Grand Parade, situated on the junction with London Road, to have been constructed around 1831-2, with stabling and coach houses to the rear.[1]. Walter Inskipp is known to have been the designer of this building and the surrounding buildings from 1-12 Grand Parade; he having lived in the building for a period soon after completion[2]. The hotel was demolished for flats circa 1905.
