Nancy Young

From Historical Hastings

The Nancy Young ran ashore at Fairlight on the 20th of February, 1763. She was en-route from London to Lisbon. Thirteen of the crew were rescued with great difficulty and at least two of her mariners were drowned. Within the short space of approximately 20 minutes she was completely broken up on the rocks and some of her cargo was later driven ashore by the wind and about fifty pieces of fabric and baize were recovered[1]
