Summary[edit]

Alpha Villas were two properties situated on today's The Ridge on the southern side between Coghurst Road and Victoria Avenue[1]. From modern mapping/streetview, it would appear that both have been replaced by modern housing forming number 37 The Ridge

Trivia[edit]

The Pikes 'Blue Book' street directory collector and representative for the years 1902-1923, Charles Mepham, lived at number 2 Alpha Villas[2][3], his occupation in 1911 being described as a 'Travelling Manager' and the postal address being given as 432 Old London Road (Old London Road extending further round into what is now The Ridge at the time)[4].
