St Helens Church

From Historical Hastings Wiki

Summary[edit | edit source]

Was constructed circa 1860 utilising stone salvaged from the Old St Helens Church and built a few hundred yards from the original site on The Ridge.[1]

The older building had suffered from problems with damp penetration leading to its eventual demolition. The new church originally had a spire which became something of a landmark, but this was taken down in 1966.[2]
